  • Applique with Fabric Scraps on a pre loved cushion cover

    $20 per session, morning tea included

    Participants embellish a pre-loved cushion cover using appliqué techniques and reclaimed textiles. Give your cushion a fresh new look while exploring composition, colour, and basic construction. These techniques can be used to cover holes and stains.

    Participants to bring: fabric scissors, a cushion cover and a sewing kit, fabric scraps (if possible)

  • Introduction to Upcycling – Transforming a Tie into a Glasses Case

    Tuesday 6th October, 9:30am - 12:30pm

    $20 per session, morning tea included

    An accessible introduction to upcycling, where participants transform pre-loved ties into a functional glasses case while learning foundational hand-sewing techniques. As a bonus, they’ll create decorative fabric yo-yos to develop their embellishment skills.

    Participants to bring: pre loved tie, sewing kit and fabric scissors

  • Visible Mending & Upcycling Damaged Clothing

    Tuesday 10th November, 9:30am - 12:30pm

    $20 per session, morning tea provided

    A practical workshop to repair, enhance, and creatively mend worn clothing while promoting sustainable practices.

    Participants to bring: anything that needs mending (could be a hole, a stain or a tear), sewing kit and fabric scissors

  • Textile Art & Decorative Stitching

    Tuesday 1st December, 9:30am - 12:30pm

    $20 per session, morning tea provided

    A creative workshop focused on experimentation with fabric scraps and decorative stitching, resulting in a unique textile art coaster.

    Participants to bring: fabric scraps (old clothing or bedding), sewing kit, fabric scissors, embroidery hoop and floss (if possible)

  • Christmas Project

    Christmas Project

    Tuesday 8th December, 9:30am - 12:30pm

    $20 per session, morning tea provided

    Create a festive Christmas door wreath using a recycled wire cloth hanger and strips of fabric scraps. Using the same technique, you can also make smaller wreaths to use as Christmas tree ornaments or gift tags.

    Participants to bring: wire clothes hanger, fabric scraps, fabric scissors and old ribbon
