Feeling overwhelmed and confused by the aged care system? You’re not alone.
Join us at Godfrey Street Community House for a free, practical info session designed to help older community members and their carers better understand how to access government-funded support. This is a free event thanks to funding from Community Bank Murrumbeena.

What you’ll learn:
The role of My Aged Care as the main entry point to aged care services
Understanding eligibility, application, and assessment processes
Types of supports + services available to help stay safe + independent at home
Case study of My Aged Care support
Resources available for carers, such as respite, emotional support, and practical assistance
One-on-one assistance with My Aged Care through a 30-minute support session, every second Thursday.
The session will provide support to:
Support for understanding My Aged Care system, making phone calls to My Aged Care and registering online
Exploring Commonwealth Home Support Program services: Guidance on finding services for independent living
Support At Home Program Provider Assistance: Help with understanding Support At Home Program and assistance in selecting and connecting with a suitable provider
Residential Care Services Support: Assistance in accessing services tailored to individual circumstances
Connecting to Other Community Services: Referrals to programs relevant to an individual's needs
Whether you're just beginning your aged care journey or navigating ongoing support, this one-on-one support will help you move forward with greater confidence.
