iPHONE AND ANDROID PHONE

Does your phone make you feel not so smart? Enrol in self-paced classes designed for your phone and see how much fun you can have in this short course.

Separate classes will be held for the iPhone and Android Phone

COMPUTERS FOR BEGINNERS

This pre-accredited course is for 8 weeks at  2.5 hour classes each week and will include the following:

  • Meeting the mouse
  • The windows start button
  • Word processing programs
  • Cutting, copying, pasting and file management
  • File sizes and saving documents
  • The basics of Microsoft word

INTERNET & EMAIL

Pre-requisite: must have basic computer skills.

This pre-accredited course is for 8 weeks at 2.5 hour classes and is the Next Step in Computers for Beginners and will include the following:

  • Welcome to google and research tips
  • Introduction to using email
  • Online shopping and internet banking
  • Social media and online communication
  • Security aspects and creating account

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR iPAD – B.Y.O

The course is aimed at the beginner with little or no experience. Learn the most useful apps found on your iPad such as Mail, Safari and Camera. Send and receive emails and browse the internet.

Send and receive emails and browse the internet. Take a look at the setting to set the ring tone, wallpaper and password of your choice. Create an Apple ID and account and shop at the iTunes for free music, books and apps.

Please note in order to create an Apple account and download books and apps. Learners must purchase an iTunes voucher or prepaid credit card. Minimum iTunes voucher is $20

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR ANDROID TABLET – B.Y.O.

This informal self-paced short course will take you through your Android and teach you what you need to know to get maximum use from it.

MICROSOFT APPLICATIONS

Learn the fundamentals of Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Publisher. Topics covered include: Formatting text, inserting and working with images, adding tables, borders and WordArt, creating professional workplace documents such as letter and reports in Word. Using formulas and creating a budget in  Excel. Creating slideshows in PowerPoint, adding text and images to your presentations and much more.  

Pre-requisite:  must have basic computer skills
